The questions every contractor asks before they hire a mobile mechanic. If yours isn't here, call dispatch.

  • Standard labor is $165 per hour during business hours, $200 to $250 per hour for emergency after-hours work. Travel is billed portal-to-portal at $125 per hour. Diagnostic service calls start at $350. Major repairs and PM contracts are quoted per machine.
  • Primary coverage is Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Fernley, and Fallon — same-day response inside the daily run radius. Secondary coverage extends to Elko, Winnemucca, Lovelock, and Northern Nevada mining and industrial sites with scheduled travel.
  • Yes. We carry $1M commercial general liability, $1M commercial auto liability, $2M umbrella, workers’ compensation, garage liability, inland marine on tools, and a Nevada state surety bond. COIs and additional insured endorsements are available on request.
  • Credit cards, ACH, and checks. Fleet accounts and Net 30 terms are available for repeat commercial customers.

  • Yes. CNR Diesel is MSHA certified and mine site ready, NDOT and OSHA compliant, with a current drug and alcohol program and full jobsite safety procedures.

What we work on, in the field

CNR Diesel runs a fully equipped mobile service truck stocked for diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical repair, engine work, undercarriage service, and field welding. If the machine is down in the middle of a Nevada jobsite, we can usually get it running again without a flatbed ride back to the shop.

If the work needs more than the truck can carry, we’ll tell you up front and coordinate the shortest path to back-in-service.

How we work

Most jobs start with a phone call to dispatch. We collect machine info, symptoms, and location, and give you an honest ETA and a starting estimate. On site, you get a clean diagnostic, a clear scope, and a real-time conversation about cost before we start parts work. Invoices itemize labor, travel, and parts. Net 30 terms are available for fleet accounts.
